This is Alex Elliott Valentine. Her hair is normally bigger!

Alex Elliott Valentine  has a BSc. (Hons) degreee in Psychology, and is a Level 3 Qualified female Personal Trainer, qualified Sports Conditioning Coach and Level 2 Qualified Gym Instructor in Greater Manchester.  She is currently studying to obtain her level 3 in Sports Therapy, to learn how to treat injuries, and plan how to help people return to exercise during their recovery. She has also worked as a Sports Coach for local schools, providing the knowledge and fitness expertise needed to help kids understand how to eat healthily, move well, and look after their bodies.

As a female personal trainer in Manchester, Alex has noticed a steady increase in the number of people wanting to take part in resistance training (lifting weights) and Olympic Lifting…..especially women! She has studied since 2013 and trained hard to learn and refine the techniques needed to lift weights safely and effectively, and prides herself in specialising in coaching weight lifting for strength, and Olympic Lifting.

Alex is passionate about fitness, and making it an accessible reality for everyone to enjoy. She discovered her love of sport and fitness when playing basketball at school and then for the University of Manchester, before branching out into Roller Hockey and Roller Derby.

In 2014, Alex was the official Training Director of Rainy City Roller Derby, who rank as one of the prestigious top ten teams in Europe, and top 20 in the world. She currently coaches roller derby teams around the UK to help them with derby specific skills, fitness and game play.

Alex was selected to play for Team in England in the Roller Derby World Cup in 2018, where England placed 4th in the world. After this she moved into competitive weightlifting, and is a member of British Weightlifting. She currently completes in T3 (BWL), so watch out for her at a competition near you!
